My “gasoline tank” is almost empty. No, I don’t mean the car, it’s me that is running on empty. The normally voracious sleeper that I am, did not sleep tight last night. I went to bed pretty early, but at 4:00 a.m. my mind was already awake. I stayed in bed a while longer hoping to get some more shut eye but lo and behold I was getting more and more wide awake as the clock ticked. After two hours of pretending to be asleep, I finally got out of bed.
Yes, it’s a first in so many months. I was awake and out of bed by 6:00 a.m. for no reason. It’s always a struggle getting out of bed that early when it’s needed but today was a different story. Now, my eyes are about to close. Let me get that much needed sleep. The bed looks so inviting.

Black Friday is touted as America’s biggest shopping day of the year. Today, even with the ongoing economic turmoil within our midst, Americans still went out in the wee hours of the morning to shop, some stampedes even occurred in some stores. For the sleeper in me, I chose to sleep till 12:00 noon and did some Black Friday online shopping in the afternoon, I guess I call this my own Black Friday version.
That said, I hopped from one online shopping portal to the next until my eyes got glued at the numerous 2 day deals at Kmart and never left the site again. I found a lot of good finds for stocking stuffer. The deals are really awesome! What got me all the more are the items for sale under $25. The merchandise they are offering in this price range is so vast, one can certainly find fabulous presents for the people on their gift list for the holidays. I can’t get enough of the Joe Boxer’s pajama sleep sets for girls priced at $14.99, as the price is so affordable. I have quite a few girls on my list and I know this will be perfect for them. With the cold weather here in NY, giving them three pairs each would be a great idea. We can never have enough jammies around here. Women’s thermal tops again from Joe Boxer, are also a must buy. In fact, I want a dozen of those for myself alone. Other fabulous finds are the Essential Home Down Alternative Blanket at $19.99. The twin size would be perfect when used as a throw. Yes, that is how big a throw I would require when I wrap myself up while on the couch in the winter.
I still have ample time left to do my shopping. But with all the fabulous deals that Kmart is offering, I won’t want everything to run out because I am not quick enough. Tomorrow will be another perfect shopping day. I have to make sure I take a good look at all the great deals under $25.

As planned, we spent Thanksgiving at home and we just dined out for our Thanksgiving dinner. We originally wanted to go to Siam, a Thai restaurant by the Bay but sad to say the place was closed. Since we were already in the area, the options left for us to take was only two: a Turkish and a Japanese restaurant. The bay front is loaded with restaurants but because of the holiday, a lot of them were closed. We wound up dining at Chikurin. As the name implies, it’s a Japanese resto.
This was not our first Thanksgiving dinner devoid of the traditional turkety roast. We enjoyed the foods and although we have our favorite Japanese resto nearby, driving back was not an option. The service was excellent and the foods were equally delicious. We still prefer Hana, but this place is definitely another winner.
Here’s what we had:

We skipped dessert because we have two pies at home waiting to be devoured.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving Day, are you done planning your holiday menu? Is your home now garbed up and are you ready to welcome your guests?
Luckily or is it unluckily, I don’t have to worry about anything. Simply put, my husband and I have been “anti-TD” for the past few years LOL. No, we are not anti-TD, we are firm believers in the fact that it is a festive occasion where family and friends gather for that Thanksgiving meal. Recent history have seen us stressed out and finding ourselves on the road from early morning till the wee hours of the night to see family and friends. I have always wondered why we were doing it. Why just for one day???? Aren’t families supposed to be seeing each other and sharing a meal every so often? Of course, that is with the exception of families that are divided because of proximity. But if it’s a merely an hour drive away to see the family, why only make that effort for that one day every year? Does it make sense? I’m not saying this is true for every family, because I know that many families are close, and really have what they call close family ties in the “real sense of the word.”
The closest family(my own family) I have around is my sister and her family. I see her very often, not that we’re neighbors because we are not, but we find ways to see each other regularly. We talk, yes, on the phone almost everyday, talking about the mundane to serious matters. And yes, they are loooonnng conversations and we don’t just talk about the weather and current events.
Thus, this Thursday will be a relatively peaceful and stress-free day for me and my husband. We will go where our feet take us, we will head out to the place where we prefer and not dictated by norm where pretension and imposition rules. Thanksgiving Day will still be a day to be grateful no matter where we are. This coming Saturday, it will no longer be Thanksgiving Day, but we will see my sister and her family, because every time we see one another, it feels like Thanksgiving day. See, why should we only see one another and share a meal on that one day, when we can see each other any day of the year, more so if there are no islands separating us.
Wherever you may be tomorrow, you take care and have a safe Thanksgiving Day!

Whenever we travel and fly we always make sure that our departure and arrival gateway is through John F. Kennedy International Airport. Why? Because, this is the closest airport from our home, and all the years of traveling, we are already familiar with the nooks and crannies of this airport. With a sprawling airport like JFK, outfitted with numerous terminals in different exits we can navigate the place quite confidently whether we take a limousine service or drive in and leave our car at the long term parking area.
But no, I’m not writing an article about JFK Airport. I’m just mentioning it because when we went to Italy last month, my attention was diverted to the very modern and sleek benches around the airport, and just recently I found out that these benches is highly likely manufactured through the perforating capabilities offered by AccuratePerforating.com, the leader in the metal perforating business where you’ll find the winning combination of knowledgeable craftspeople and cutting-edge manufacturing capabilities.
The metals that Accurate Perforating perforate are perused in so many different applications, you’ll be amazed to find out about the various applications. From agricultural equipment, appliances, automotive as well as perforated baking trays and store fixtures and displays and many more, the use of these metals are endless. One thing’s for sure, if it’s done by Accurate Perforating, the quality of perforated metal whether it be stainless steel tubing, steel plates for building facades, aluminum for lighting fixtures or any other raw materials that you require, it is always done right and you are assured that your project turns out to be as envisioned. When it comes to perforated metal, they can definitely manufacture it for you and they will ensure that their products meet your exacting standards.
See what the internet brings? Knowledge! There was no way I would know about this service myself, without stumbling onto AccuratePerforating.com.

There’s no use denying, this is very accurate. But aren’t we all the same somewhat? I can be so reserved and not wanting to even look at a stranger in the eye if I somehow sense that something is not right. We all have instincts and gut feel, and I trust mine all the time. Can you blame me?
You Are Somewhat Approachable

|

You are a fairly friendly person, and you’re definitely not scaring people away.
You do tend to have your guard up strangers, and rightfully so.How approachable you are depends on who is trying to approach you.
You’re friendly to people who seem harmless and nice. But you also know how to give creepy people the cold shoulder! |

Are you a golf enthusiast? I’m not, I tried but I was simply a failure on this endeavor. I couldn’t even go past the driving range. That is how bad I was, so I gave it up. Had I not been a failure, it would have been another reason to frequent Las Vegas because of their lush Las Vegas Golf Courses.
Thus, because I’m not into golf, I’m making it known to all golfers out there about the Female Caddy Service through WaltersGolf.com. The Par Mates Caddy Program ensures your golfing experience to be enjoyable and hassle free in one of the golf courses in Las Vegas, one of which is the Royal Links Golf Course. These gorgeous young ladies are not only there to accompany golfers, they can arrange for any assistance that the golfers may need such as orientation, introduction to course personnel as well as call in food and beverage orders. Perhaps, shopping assistance in the golf shop is needed, they are out there available to arrange everything. This service is so much like having your own personal concierge while teeing off in the golf course. Now, who said, you can only avail of concierge services in five star hotels?
