It’s been ages since we last dined at Red Lobster. Truth be told, the only reason why we don’t frequent chain restaurants is the fact that my husband has his preference for smaller, locally managed restos.
Since it was me who pushed for us to dine here almost a month ago, I was just glad that I did not hear any complaints from my husband. To say that he was pleased is an understatement. I have to admit however that the decision to stop by and dine here was because we were really starving and add to that the unsettled weather that day. We were lucky that we didn’t have to wait that long to be seated. It was an advantage that we were just a party of two.
Service was really good and the food was what we’ve come to expect and know about Red Lobster. Of course it was not a Red Lobster dinner without lobster so we both sprang for lobster tails in each of the dishes that we ordered.
With our fear of hitting congestion on the parkways head on, we had to forgo dessert but since Saturday nights is not complete without my husband’s espresso fix, we decided to drop by Starbucks drive thru. The barista was nice enough to give me the extra Java Chip Frap so I gladly took it. Lesson learned however – opting for the drive thru was not a good idea. My husband’s espresso was no longer that hot when we arrived home. So a drive thru is only good when you’re willing to gulp your drink while driving 🙂
