Two Saturdays ago, we couldn’t decide which resto to go to for our usual Saturday dinner. We didn’t want to drive that far so my husband suggested that we go down a famous strip where Asian restaurants abound.
Bingo! After considering to dine between two restos: Japanese versus Vietnamese, we went for the latter.
Being that it was Mother’s Day weekend, the restaurant was packed to the seams. We somehow got lucky though because we were seated almost immediately. Apparently, because we were only a party of two, it was easier for us to get a table versus the larger parties who had to wait awhile.
We have our established go-to Vietnamese restaurant. It was our first time to dine at Pho Tay Ho. While the food is as good as the one we go to frequently, the ambiance in this resto did not ‘get’ us. It’s not to say that we’re not ever going back because the food is as good and it’s closer but I have to say that ambiance counts a lot.
After dinner, we headed to Starbucks for my husband’s espresso fix. There’s no turning back for this man who used to hate coffee. He’s now addicted to espresso.
