Healthy Combination

All types of meat and poultry have been ‘banned’ in my kitchen for almost four years. And I’m so glad to say that I don’t miss them nor crave for them. My system has already adapted pretty well with just ingesting veggies and fruits and seafood at the most twice a week.

In fact, I can still vividly recall attending an after Thanksgiving party in 2013 when my tummy had some kind of ‘revolution’. I didn’t want to be a party pooper so instead of just eating my normal type of food, I made sure to taste all the dishes and that included different types of meat and poultry. Needless to say, I paid the price. I had a queasy stomach, and I didn’t feel right till the following day.

That’s the reason why I know that I can be the easiest to please guest in a party. A couple of veggie dishes will do and will be highly appreciated. In fact, this is my typical food at home.

Most of the time, I whip up three different veggie dishes. This roasted butternut squash and sauteed kale with red pepper flakes plus a hefty serving of salad completes my typical meal.
