I don’t deny the fact that we are creatures of habit. That is also evident in our choice of food, although, we are very adventurous in trying new cuisines to.
Looking into my EHD, I realized one thing. We had dinner back to back at Pho Hoai, a Vietnamese restaurant in Bay Ridge. I’ve always loved Vietnamese food, but my husband had been only into it after we got married. That’s probably the Asian in me. I’m just glad though that he has officially embraced my penchant for this cuisine.
Vietnamese dishes are very wholesome and light. I can keep eating the same dish over and over again. My first try at eating a Vietnamese sandwich at a resto called Pho Bac in Glorietta Makati when I was still living in Manila saw me wanting to run out the door. But over time, I acquired the taste and finally loved everything about Vietnamese cuisine. At Pho Hoai if you’re ever in the area, you should not miss that watercress dish. If you’re vegan, you can make a dinner out of it 🙂
