So Pinoy!

Since I embraced organic living more than two years ago, I’ve been having difficulty sourcing my usual Pinoy ingredients. That includes fresh produce as well as Pinoy condiments. Shall I say, I have been totally frustrated about it thus, when I have that extreme craving every once in a while, I go for non organic ingredients with eyes closed.

Look what I came up with a few days ago? I’m sure true blue Pinoys will immediately recognize these. Although the first photo is not really that clear (sorry about that, yours truly relies only on my trusty point and shoot), I hope you can still easily identify it.

And this plateful of grilled veggies? This one is as clear as pristine clear water.

With a good serving of brown rice and salad greens to start, that was a meal!

  2. I remember my dad preparing that kind of “talong” salad. If I’m not mistaken… He loved that so much and also the adobong pusit. For me, the more vinegar the adobo tasted like, the more I ate. 🙂
