My husband recently discovered Peacefood Cafe, a vegan kitchen and bakery. They serve delicious, innovative, and healthy vegan cuisine prepared with mindfulness, gratitude, and intention to nurture spirit and body. The founders of this cafe believes that a vegan lifestyle can transform not only the lives of farm animals but also the environment and one’s personal health.
With their strategic location in uptown and downtown Manhattan, my husband can easily go to the Union Square location on a good day. Thus, one Friday after work, he came home with these for us to try.
I must say, the food is a must-try if you happen to be in the area. I felt like I was not eating vegetables at all because the Chef for sure knows how to use spices and flavored the food so well.

chickpea fries an award winning recipe with a hint of indian spices, served with house dipping sauce
The self-confessed sweet tooth that I am, I have to admit that this chocolate chip cookie sandwich was a big winner. It was decadently sinful, and if I didn’t have self- control, I would have gone for a second serving that same night but I didn’t. It turned out to be a good move because we found ourselves having our second serving the day after.
