Finally, I hit the jackpot!
I have been looking for a healthier alternative to milk for more than a year. I’ve tried soy milk, rice milk, almond milk, oat milk, cashew nut milk and coconut milk, but none of them gave me the creamy taste of real milk. I don’t drink it, but I use it primarily for cold cereal/meusli and shakes.
A few months ago, I tried Hemp milk and it finally put a stop to my search. Now, my morning cold cereal/muesli tates so good, and my shakes are more creamy with hemp milk.
Hemp milk is cholesterol and lactose free, low in saturated fats and rich in healthy omega fatty acids. It’s also an excellent source of protein and tastes creamier and nuttier than soy milk or rice milk, and also tends to be a bit thicker than other plant-based milks. Like other plant milks though, it lacks calcium and isn’t as widely available as soy, rice and coconut milk.
