We had the first snowfall of the season today. It’s only October folks, but mother nature decided to head over here much ahead of time. Needless to say, it was a very conducive day to linger in bed. After yesterday’s great day in the city with my husband (perusing one of his scheduled vacation days ), it was a perfect day to relax and stay in, save for a few hours of my husband’s gym routine at the gym of course.
As I’m writing this post, I’m still in my jammies. Yes, last night was the first night that I wore pajamas and I reckon, this is the start of many jammie- wearing months. While our closets had been winter-ready for quite awhile, and the pajamas had been unearthed, the temps was quite a bit too warm for the heavier nightwear. Not last night, though. Snowfall coming this early just does not sound right and it can be the sign of another bad and long winter.
I have no right to complain, and I won’t even try. Meanwhile, I just continue to smile and keep warm. What are hot teas, hot cocoa drinks and coffee for? Oh and piping hot chicken soup? I want that now. The problem is – my pantry can’t accommodate my craving at this time. Cooking has taken a back seat that’s why. I guess, it’s time to go back to it, so I can have my soup any time whenever I want it.
