Living in a high rise is synonymous to having a view. If you live in the higher floor, you have a sweeping view of the beautiful surroundings around you. That is the reason why a property up in the sky commands premium pricing. But in spite of all that, you also miss one thing – a landscaped backyard.
We live on the fourteenth floor of a high rise, and although we don’t have a landscaped backyard replete with natural grass, we have a view of the ocean on one side, the Manhattan skyline on one plus the sprawling synthetic grass of a football field. I have to admit that before the major redo of the football field, the field looked dry and dreary during wintertime. With the synthetic grass now in place, we have a view of sprawling green grass albeit synthetic year round.
I personally know several family friends whose front and backyards are now equipped with synthetic grass. They rave about its low maintenance and they have never been more content. Come to think about it, what can be better than having to just simply while away the time and relax in ones backyard and not worry about doing some much needed landscaping.
Our balcony is perused as the perfect place for my container garden every planting season. Since it’s not that substantial in floor area, I see no need for synthetic grass installed. Besides, we already have a sweeping view of massive green through the football field. For now, that is more than enough to satisfy our eyes for something green.
