We had a good run of Indian summer in my part of the world and I really enjoyed it but that is all over now. Fall weather has made its presence felt and there is no turning back. I was kind of hoping that summer stayed a little longer but that is simply impossible.
I’ve said goodbye to my summer garden, the balcony is now back to its barren state with the pots now empty, the patio furniture are now kept in storage. Once again our outdoor space is simply just that – a blank space, until next year when the warmer temps return.
There’s no hiding the fact that my favorite time of the year is late Spring and Summer. It reminds me of the tropical weather in Maui. Boy, do I love that place. Having been there several times makes me long for the warmth and the tropical breeze that only Maui and Hawaii for that matter delivers. When I get into this mood, I sort of wish I own one of those Maui condos right by Wailea Alanui Drive. I know, there are awesome properties for sale in that beautiful area but for now I’m just content staying at the nearby Grand Wailea just like the previous visits whenever we go again.
At this point I wonder when my next trip to Hawaii will be. My husband has been raring to go there two years ago but for some reason, it always gets eclipsed and voted out when the year’s travel destinations is picked. I’m sure, we will get there on one of our future vacations sooner than later. Besides the great place that Hawaii is, there’s a lot of relatives to visit and reconnect with. And that is more than enough reason to make the place a priority to visit soon.
