Cold breakfast, anyone?
I’m not really that picky when it comes to food for as long as it’s properly prepared and made of good quality ingredients. However, when it comes to cold breakfast foods such as cereals, I don’t go for those run of the mill variety. Those that are overwhelmingly sweet as well as those that makes me feel like I’m chewing air does not meet my cut.
I used to prefer the different varieties of Kashi Cereals many years ago when I discovered it while on vacation here in the US. In fact, I had them when they first came out in the market (in the late ’90’s), up until our vacation to Milan, Italy in 2008 when I got my first taste of high quality muesli at the Hotel Chedi.
Muesli has since become my traditional cereal for the past three years. It taste so good with skim milk and Cacao Nibs thrown in.
This specific brand is the kind that gives me the closest taste to the brand that Hotel Chedi in Milan, Italy served on their breakfast buffet during our stay. The only flavor that I don’t consider is the chocolate because I get my chocolate fix from different sources for breakfast. Although I love chocolates, and it is a mainstay in my pantry, I don’t want to overwhelm my palate.
