My niece, the model-wanna-be turned Physical Therapist just landed a job after she completed her degree last April. She is going for her Master’s Degree while working for a Physical Therapy facility. She’s been as excited as her Mom, my sister, at this new-found financial independence.
Recently, I heard that she’s been looking into getting a life insurance policy and she’s been unanimously told by friends and family to compare life insurance rates before settling for one. As everyone of us know, premiums can be expensive and if you don’t do your homework fastidiously, you may wind up paying an arm and a leg.
I for one learned a big lesson from not doing comparison shopping. For years we were paying a hefty sum for our annual vehicle insurance premium, but I’m glad that I finally woke up and did what I’m supposed to have done many years ago. You live to learn. And that is all that matters. I’m just glad that I was finally able to stop the ‘bleeding’ and not allow it to progress further.
