It’s unexpected that I’m now in search of a general dentist after many years of continually seeing the same dentist. Unavoidable circumstances do happen, and although it is quite disturbing, moving on to a new provider seem to be the most logical thing to do.
I try to assure my husband that this is going to be an easy move, as I believe that change is good and that everything happens for a reason.
As I start my search, one thing is for sure. I will ensure that our next general dentist is a member of our insurance’ preferred dentist network or if not, he must have full assistance in place in filing claims. Never again are we going to be trapped by the promise of a good dental service yet, be required to shoulder the cost upfront (100 percent) even with a loaded dental insurance coverage. Nowadays, I believe that there are many options out there and succumbing to ridiculous payment policies by a provider is a big no-no.
While we value the idea of fostering a longtime relationship with a general dentist, a good relationship should work two ways. The idea of enforcing unwarranted payment policies because ones practice is economically challenged due to the current economic climate simply says you don’t care for your patients.
My search is about to start. And the fact that I found a search partner through SmileGeneration.com makes this task a walk in the park.
