One big mistake that I’ve done in the last two years is pulling the plug from our membership of a roadside assistance club. It came to a point wherein I thought that it was not practical to keep it anymore because we really don’t drive a lot. In the last eleven years, we haven’t had a major road trip, and we probably called the club only thrice. Any person with a practical mind will do what I did.
But no, think again. In the last two years, we needed assistance only once, and although we are paying extra and have the coverage through our car insurance policy, the scope is not that comprehensive. At that time though, we were lucky that what we needed the club for, was part of the deal.
This year, as we renew our car insurance policy, I vowed to enact a change. I will reactivate our membership to the club because God forbid we needed something that is not covered by our insurance we will be left to fend for ourselves. When the cold months is here, the last thing that you need is being left out in the cold, and not get the help that you need.
