Park Terraces tour in the morning followed by an afternoon of dealing with real estate agents of One Serendra (Global City) after a lot of walking to see two properties, was a good precursor to bingeing.
Italianni’s was our unanimous choice for “real food.” But after stuffing ourselves with Italian fare, I initiated the most sinful adventure to end the day. While walking around the area after the sumptuous Italian meal, I saw Krispy Kreme. I didn’t need one of those Nikon binoculars to spot something very different in their doughnuts offerings. What I never saw in a local Krispy Kreme in New York was my target and I had to have it even with a belly that was already full.
These donuts are mango flavored and they were yummy. I forgot the exact name of the flavors. All I can say is that they were very satisfying and sinful. Suddenly, my interest for Krispy Kreme was revived.
I fell in love with their (KK) donuts when they first came to New York almost ten years ago if my memory serves me right. However, I didn’t stay loyal to their donuts because I switched to the more delicious and better tasting donuts by Riesterer’s – the local bakery in Long Island known for three generations of quality baking since 1931.
My only concern now is of course, I can’t source Krispy Kreme’s mango flavors locally. I guess, I’m confined with Riesterer’s until my next trip back home.
