I am a late night dessert fiend. But as I have gotten older, I have noticed that I have been paying the price for those late night excursions via my waistline. Then I found Yogurtland, an alternative to those late night ice cream binges. Open till midnight from Sundays to Thursday and all the way to 1 a.m. on Fridays and Saturdays, it is open just long enough for me to get my midnight snacking on. Obviously, it’s more about overall diet and exercise, but switching from ice cream to yogurt helps.
They have three categories of flavors: classic, tart and no sugar; and have both fruit and dry toppings. Both the classic and tart categories have tons of different flavors. Even the no sugar category has 10 individual flavors. Right now I’m hooked on their new honeycomb tart flavor.
I usually go every night with my roommate and our dogs. One of us sets the security choice home security alarm while the other gets the leashes on the dogs. It’s about a 15 to 20 minute walk down to Yogurtland. It seems a lot shorter though. I guess it’s because we always have plenty of things to talk about. It always seems like that before we know it, we’re there. We usually hang around the place for another half hour after getting our order before heading back home.
