Lunch meet-up with friends in Manhattan will never be the same again. On weekdays when I meet up with my girl friends sans my husband, I always find a very convenient reason why I’m late for the meet-up – that is, ” I lost my sense of direction, I got off the wrong train stop and walked towards the opposite direction.”
Never again! One of my friends gifted me a portable GPS last Christmas.
The gadget is still sitting on its original packaging though, as I haven’t touched it yet. Does that tell you how uninterested I am with gadgets?
Our first meet-up this year is yet to happen. The miserably cold winter weather has kept us from doing so. The group of these ‘ladies who lunch’ will have to wait longer. Everyone of us are raring to meet up but we’ve been lazy to get dressed in layers and get on the subway and navigate the slushy and messy streets of Manhattan.
Will this gadget deliver and will this really put a stop to my tardiness? I was told by the giver that this is convenient to bring and it has a small, sleek design, that it can permanently stay in my handbag so that I will never have to be late again. My personal navigator is my husband, and I admit that I have been used to it that I never really pay attention with directions. Thus, when I’m left to go around alone, I’m always a lost soul.
