A trek to Manhattan was long overdue. With the blizzard finally behind us, my husband and I needed to head out to the city for some important errands, as well as to hunt for portable phone batteries among others. The city grounds was still messy with the snow and ice mixing together. It was kind of tough to navigate around certain corners on walkways, but it was nevertheless a productive afternoon. With a rather late start, as usual, we needed to feed our starving tummies before taking our train ride back home.
goodburger (spelled as is – this is not a typo) which is strategically located (near a train station) was our pick. It was both our first time to dine in this Zagat rated burger joint. They have six outlets throughout Manhattan and that late afternoon, it was not a surprise to see a packed resto. The interiors were plain and simple, nothing fancy. Service was exceptional and the crew were very attentive. The burger was great and we both agreed that the meat in their burger made a big difference and it was grilled to perfection. I really loved the cheese fries and although their coleslaw was good, I can make a better homemade version. I wanted to try their milkshake but I figured that would really add more to the already unhealthy amount of calories that I was about to ingest, so I’ll try it next time. We went home with six pieces of Crumbs cupcakes though, so go figure what transpired when we got home (lol).
