My husband smoked when I met him many years ago. He was not a smoker for a long time ( I learned he only smoked for five years all his life), and he told me that smoking somehow became his stress reliever from his very stressful work environment – that is, on Wall Street.
However, one year after we got married, he quit cold turkey and never again did he puff one stick. Don’t ask me how that happened as all I can say is, if I even try to document that here I will probably use up two pages to detail that victorious fight. At this point, I’m so confident that an electronic cigarette is and will never be in his horizon even with the now trendy ecig pocket carrying case.
This move has actually saved us and continue to save us a lot of money. It’s not only the pennies saved on the cost of cigarettes but also the cost of premiums that we have to pay on his life insurance policies.
Can you quit cold turkey?
