Now that Autumn has rolled around, I get to participate in one of my favorite activities: Football. At our place, every fall is like an ode to football. Whether it be fantasy football, playing football or watching football, once the leaves begin changing colors, it means its football season!
While I love watching or playing fantasy football, my favorite has to be playing the actual game. Usually, a group of us from college play each other. Back then, our group lived in 2 separate neighboring apartments and we always divided up teams based on who lived where. Since our apartment seemed to always come out on top, we decided to mix up the teams a bit to make the games more even and fun.
Since most of us have now started working, we can really only get everyone together on the weekends. Usually we pick Saturdays to play because the NFL is on Sundays and we don’t really care all that much for college football anyway. We head off to the local college in our sweats and whatnot, line up the markers and get to playing. Some of the wives usually come out to cook some hamburgers or whatever – though they’re really just there to socialize. Sometimes, some of the girlfriends come out too. It’s always fun. The next day we rest up while watching all the games on my friends tv.
