I was not going to leave Ireland without trying at least once the Traditional Irish breakfast. Thus,one morning, we trooped over to a restaurant that serves ‘Irish fry.’
Irish fry is a hearty way to start the day, I was told by friends. It includes eggs, bacon,sausage, grilled tomato, sauteed mushroom and black pudding and served with toast, butter and marmalade as well as juice, tea or coffee. As soon as the fare was laid out on our table, I was hoping that somehow thermogenesis would kick in naturally as I figured, the fat and calories content of this breakfast is quite high.
It was good, but I prefer my “usual” breakfast. Needless to say, I didn’t go for it again. It was good enough that I tried it.
