If you are looking to indulge yourself with a good cheesy pasta dish, then mac bar is the place to go. One time, my husband took home a couple of dishes from this place, I was instantly hooked.
Hence, when we went to Soho (Prince St.), after an afternoon of walking around, noticing all the new boutiques and shops with massage table on display, I had to have my mac and cheese fix before heading home.
The place is criminally good! What, with the food served in a kitschy macaroni-shaped yellow container, cool utensils wherein the fork and spoon snap together and the awesome service. The guys behind the counter are very friendly and efficient.
My first encounter with a mac bar dish, named mac lobsta’ was delicious! This time, I had medium four cheese – (queso blanco, fontina, emmental and gouda) and it was equally yummy.
My husband on the other hand, got this medium mac quack – (duck confit, caramelized onions and fines herbes). He said it was as moist and delicious as can be.
We will definitely go back to this place again. Should laziness hits me, I know that my husband can drop by and bring home one of my favorite comfort food – that is – mac and cheese.
