One morning of room service for breakfast at the Palais de la Mediterranee and two mornings of breakfast at the hotel’s “3e” Restaurant was enough for us to say: “enough!!!” Needless to say, we were not that thrilled with the variety of dishes served for breakfast. Since the hotel’s location was right by the promenade, our options where to get breakfast was unlimited.
Not far from the hotel was this cafe that offers a wide variety of breakfast menu. Best of all, they were open early enough to accommodate us, more so on those days when we needed to have breakfast earlier than the crowd.
I loved those mornings when we had ample time to ‘people watch’ as well as take delight on looking at different vehicles passing by. There was never a time that Promenade Des Anglais was empty with vehicles plying the promenade, I wondered if all of them are insured with coverage as comprehensive as what Florida auto insurance offers.
Check out a typical breakfast for voracious tourists like us. Until now, I still can’t believe that I didn’t gain a pound from this trip. With three square meals a day and frequent snacks in between, plus many days of bingeing on Laduree, honestly, I can’t seem to reconcile why oh why, my weighing scale is consistently indicating my pre-trip weight.
Take note of the French bacon (not ham).
