I’m not a movie buff but I would definitely make the time to watch a good movie. And in my books, there is nothing better than watching old home movies that bring back good memories. Do you have tons of them like I do?
I bet, I would even have more of these movies if my husband and I were blessed enough to have little ones. But nah… we fell short on that department. At this point in time, those old movies have to be preserved, so I’m looking for a place that offers the service of transferring 8 mm film to DVD if we can’t do it on our own.
Yesterday, I had the chance to watch one of those videos and I was not that thrilled with what I saw. They are not as sharp as they used to be. In spite of the not so good quality of the picture, I still found myself smiling and occasionally laughing even if I was by my lonesome. Good movies like this one that reminds me of good times never fail to bring some sunshine even on a dreary day.
I wouldn’t want these memories to wither, and so before they all turn like grey, I see the urgent need of them getting transferred to DVD. I couldn’t wait for my husband to be home and so I rang him up at the office and told him about my plan. I was thinking that maybe he will be more than willing to find a way to get it done DIY. But I was disappointed, because before I can even start to sell my DIY idea, he was already telling me to find a professional.
Who was I kidding? Yeah, for a while I forgot that I have a husband who always tells me to get professional help and pay for any service that we need beyond the ordinary. Case closed… to the pros it will be.
