This is a continuation of my week-long food diary. That Friday, we decided to head out to the Sheesphead Bay legend : Roll-n-Roaster, a few miles drive from where we live. As expected, even if it was a tad early for dinner, the place was filled with patrons. I can never remember an outing to this resto devoid of crowd.
After reciting to my husband my usual staple, he went ahead and ordered our fare for the night. That is always the case with us whenever we dine out. I just specify my picks and he is in charge of the rest. For a foodie like him, I’m already used to seeing unusual amount of food which is more often than not fit to feed a crowd rather than two. After indulging, I thought that we both need a good colon cleanse. I must admit that no matter how great tasting the foods are in this place, it is still fast food and as expected, it is not that healthy. It’s good that we don’t frequent the place, so whenever we go I don’t feel that guilty after and it’s always a treat.
I started with clam chowder soup (Manhattan style).
We shared these:
Golden fried shrimps
His and hers cheezburger
And, we each had freshly squeezed lemonade.
There was no room for dessert right after. We had our sweet indulgence a couple of hours later.
