With my newest kitchen acquisition: a Vita-mix machine, I have been dropping by the nearest fruit and vegetable stand more often. What used to be a once a week produce run, I now go there twice a week. It’s not that I’m now back to cooking but I’m now making multi-variant fresh concoctions which really compliment our ongoing food delivery.
In spite all these efforts toward more healthy eating, I still find myself indulging on sinful snacks and weekend binge eating. But I’m not hoping to start my quest for the best weight loss product out in the market. I’m keeping my resolve to forever skip that option. But like many of us, I get sidetracked from that goal once in a while. I look forward to the day when snacking meant that I’d be opting for just fruits to satiate my cravings.
One good thing that came out of my new acquisition is the fact that I now enjoy my smoothies a lot. I would never thought about adding oatmeal, fresh spinach, wheat grass, celery, pepper, almonds and walnuts among others in my smoothies. The possibilities are endless with my Vita-mix machine. The prep time is easier and a lot shorter. I would like to try making hot soup one of these days. And I can tell you now that when I do try to make soup it will be an all veggie soup.
My trips to the veggie stand is now always met with anticipation. With the numerous great taste that I have been concocting lately, I get excited and I look forward to discovering fruits and veggies that never deserved a second look from me in the past.
