  1. wow! those look super delish, its no wonder your husband like it so much..that is definitely bad for the diet =) but super tempting just the same..

We have a Filipino bakery here in Phnom Penh and I could get ensaymada though it doesn’t look as yummy as that. Another local Cambodian bakery here have added ‘Philippine Ensaymada’ to their list of products.. For some reason, Cambodian must have liked it!

  3. That looks so yummy….actually we finished a dozen of ensamadas just a week ago. Just like your husband, my hubby relishes it too. We get it from a Filipino store 40 minutes away from our place. He started loving it about 4 years ago because it’s always my auntie’s fare whenever she holds her annual Christmas parties.
I just wish I know how many calories…..I eat without counting…hehehe…I love eating.

    Have a great weekend Juliana

reallybad not only for the diet but both the heart and the gut. he does not mind though. he jsut loves to eat.

I guess, no one can make ensaymada better than Pinoys.

curious lang ako to know kasi he is gung-ho over it.

maybe you’ll find a place close by you too. it took me almost ten years to find this one. paano I haven’t come across any Pinoy in our neighborhood. this store has been in existence 15 years na daw. at least now, I don’t have to drive that far.

halika sis, bibili ako ng marami if you visit NY hehe.

that’s good to know that my husband is not the only white person out there who loves this treat. calorie counting does not work for him too.

I think there comes a point when our metabolism slows down. I used to try hard to gain weight but this stopped a year ago. prior to that, I used to jsut keep eating without abandon and never gained a pound. I have now permanently said goodbye to my 108 lbs. on a 5′ 5 1/2″ frame. unfair, but I think that’s the way it is hehe.
