Having been on the road mostly these past few days, I can’t help but be in awe at the beauty of NewYork’s suburban landscape. I feel like I’m getting a free sightseeing tour sans a tour guide narration. The snow covered scenery is awesome! Yes, I’m still captivated by the beauty of snow-filled grounds despite being aware of the fact of the arduous task of snow removal.
I can finally say that I enjoy being on the roadways and parkways in New York even with traffic and encountering motorhome towing. For once, I’m not on the driver’s seat; I’m on the front passenger seat without being accountable for helping with navigation to prevent getting lost. When my husband and I venture into driving beyond our comfort zone, we always end up arguing while on the road more so if we lost track of the right direction and find ourselves in the middle of nowhere.
Navigation systems are not one hundred percent reliable and I can attest to that based on the countless times that we were lost because of wrong directions. This alone is the sole reason why we hate long road trips. Driving is not fun as far as we are concerned, and we prefer flying for as long as flying is feasible. I know there’s a lot of inconveniences at the airport with all the security procedures in place, but it’s our choice.
