When a new year unfolds, my husband and I always sit down and map out our vacation plans for the year except last year when right off the bat we knew we were not headed anywhere due to our ongoing project. This year, we think we will have some leeway if our time line as outlined will not shift. As in any big project, we are bound to have bumps along the way. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it will be smooth sailing so that we can get that much needed break.
After that 3-weeks Italian getaway in the Fall of 2008, I’m raring to head out someplace I haven’t been to. As a seasoned traveler, I’ve been to several continents but there is one mode of travel I haven’t tried: that is going on a cruise. I’m one hundred percent sure that I will never get to experience going on a cruise simply because my husband is adamant about the whole idea. All these years, our vacations have always included flying or land travel, but we never took long drives as long as we can fly out. That said, we always stayed in hotels, some of them: all inclusive hotels.
We have our vacation dates; possibly two getaways this year for as long as our big project goes as projected. And for our destinations: we have one laid in stone and we are still debating on the other one. As to who will win the debate – I’ll keep you posted.
