As I opened the blinds in my kitchen window at noon today, I saw this beautiful vista. We got a surprise snowfall in the morning which left a picture postcard behind, although my photograph is not of postcard quality.
As in previous New Year’s Eve, NYC authorities have tight security in place for millions of revelers who are going to troop to Times Square for the countdown. Even with bone chilling temps, I hope that they will enjoy and have fun.
The sun didn’t shine as much today, which kind of gave me a melancholic feeling. As the year ends, I couldn’t help but look back at everything that transpired in 2009. It was a great year in spite of health issues within my immediate family, so many lessons learned and a lot of blessings to be thankful for.
I look forward to 2010 with so much optimism and enthusiasm!
