Going Back To Basics

When I’m not in the mood to experiment, I go back to ‘my fundamentals.’ That is my strategy so that I can keep the fire burning as far as baking is concerned. At this point, I don’t want my baking tools to go idle. I know for a fact that if I start to give in to my ‘not in the mood’ feeling, sooner than later I might end up abandoning my new hobby.

Thus, when that lazy feeling got me a few weeks ago, instead of resuming  my search for plasma mounts,  I whipped up one of the first few cake recipes (white cake filled and iced with whipped cream, topped with fresh kiwi and peach) that I tried early on in my baking journey.

I still have tons to learn. I’m only starting. I’m hoping that this early, I won’t lost that enthusiasm.

Oh how I miss baking so much…My baking tools back in my hometown has been idled for four years now.I guess some of those were not useable now.Since I came to Hong Kong and work as an OFW,I never had a chance to bake anymore…
