If there is anything that I’m not completely enamored with in my kitchen, I would say that it is the floor tiles, and I have no one else to blame but me. When we gutted and renovated our place, I had the chance to pick and choose the materials from the recommendation of both the architect and the interior designer.
As it is in every construction, the budget always end up higher before the completion of the project. Having that in mind, because everything else in my kitchen is exactly the way I wanted it to be from the kitchen cabinets, appliances, the black granite slab counter tops and my indulgence at that time – the tumbled marble backsplash with accents (except of course, that huge walk-in pantry that I’m still drooling for), I was willing to compromise with the flooring. As per original design, limestone would have been it, but I settled with ceramic tiles.
For now, I’m stuck with it until further notice (LOL).

lol doh. At least you like the rest of your kitchen!

Hi Juliana, Just wanted to let you know in these past 13 years of traveling I really have missed the house so when we stop at a Motel or Hotel I take time to enjoy a nice cup of Starbucks Coffee as I ease back in the bath into a hot tub of water filled with Lavendar and Peppermint oil Reminiscing over the work my Husband (the Builder) has done thinking about how he will fix our Dream House.
Best Regards themidnightwriter

oh wow, 13 years of non-stop travel is mind boggling. we can only manage two destinations in one year. last year, I took a third (an emergency trip to my homeland). two/year is already a lot for us.
