One Good Stop

Our weekends lately have been pretty unusual. Saturdays are mostly spent out (instead of idyllic weekends), as we still have no clue if we will really find a way to complete our big project. All I can say is that, as of now, even with a very high inventory, none of them ’speak’ to us, just yet.

Last Saturday, even with an early start, we found ourselves tied up in traffic. I know, we could have done a lot better and headed out a lot earlier but because there were several things I needed the man of the house to accomplish at home, we wound up leaving the house later than we originally planned. Waiting for another Saturday to complete his tasks was not an option, because he already postponed it several times.

Instead of driving straight to our destination, we segued and headed to a Ruby Tuesday. I didn’t even know how to describe the meal that we had, as it was way too late for lunch and early for dinner. I was hungry, alright but not hungry enough to pig out. I wound up getting Endless Fresh Garden Bar. Of course, I had my second helping (I can help myself as much as I like (a.k.a endless) but that was all I could muster). RT’s endless salad bar is what I order almost always when we go. I just love it, I feel like I’m eating guilt -free!

And what did my companion with a ravenous appetite ordered? He chowed on this burger, I think it’s the Triple Prime Bacon Cheddar Burger.

No matter what time of the day, I can count on him to eat . But in fairness, he was really kind of spent before heading out because he accomplished several chores  and one of his tasks was to work around cable ties and tidy up some loose cables.

As luck would have it, we did  hit another traffic jam again on our way home. Add to that the fact, that what we saw at our intended destinations were dismal (sigh). Our stop over at Ruby Tuesday proved to be the best for the day.
