Switching Is Synonymous To Glitches

The start of 2009 saw us switching to a new health insurance carrier after eight years. It was not by personal choice, it was by corporate choice. As you know, whatever changes on my husband’s company direction, and changes are implemented, there is no recourse but to follow.

As expected with any change, there were some glitches when we started seeing doctors this year. There were cases of charges denied by our former insurance plan because they were filed incorrectly. Of course, when charges are filed with the wrong insurer, you expect a denial. I swear, I could have lashed out at the people working at our doctors’ offices who were in charged of filing the claims, as it kept happening repeatedly for a while. Add to that the same scenario with Quest Diagnostics who can’t seem to get the new insurance details right, as they kept filing claims with our old provider.

After several doctors visits, finally everything is smooth sailing. We can’t be more happy with our Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. Thus, I have no qualms giving my nod to a friend who is considering Blue Cross Blue Shield NC for her family. She considers the plan as it is the leading insurer inĀ  North Carolina.

I hope that we don’t have to switch again anytime soon. I hate it when the records have to change, more so if you have no control of the people executing the change. Erroneous filing can snowball, and worse you end up owing money if you are not vigilant.

the Blue Cross PPO is what we have. It’s been great as soon as the records were straightened out from the end of the doctors and the labs.

sinabi mo pa. oks na kami ngayon. it was just a typical case of those people working behind a desk not really paying attention to what they’re doing.
