It’s the first time that it happened! And I’m quite proud of myself as I found myself in the gym, four times this week at 50 minutes each of the day. And as you may have guessed it, I now have sore legs from slaving myself in the treadmill and stepper.
I’ve always did fast walking in the treadmill at a reasonable speed. As of late, I have started to run, and running in the treadmill is still a struggle for me. I have started it many weeks ago, and my legs seem to be not acclimated yet with the new speed I’m setting for myself to do. At 6 mph it is too much for this fitness enthusiast wanna-be.
While sleeping last night, I felt the soreness and I almost gave in to a dose of Aleve, but I didn’t. Thankfully, I felt fine when I woke up. Thus, I went to the gym again with my husband late this afternoon. I ensured, I skipped running though, as I wanted to give my legs a rest.
I’m beginning to like the gym more and more. I used to loathe the gym and considered it as waste of my time. Now, I think about my time spent at the gym, as a time to pamper myself. If I don’t mind standing in the kitchen for an hour and a half to bake a cake, I figured I should be able to reward myself some time in the gym.
Nothing beats the feeling after a great workout! It sort of gives me the permission to indulge in a good slice of cake ( 😛 ).
