My penchant for traveling dates back during my formative years, as I grew up traveling with my parents. As I grew older, that passion was all the more strengthened as I made sure that I rewarded myself with overseas travel every year, most especially when I was already able to travel on my own and pay for my travel expenses.
What double joy it is when I got married to a man who equally loves to travel and see the world. Modesty aside, I can very well consider myself as a world traveler having been to several countries in Asia, South America, North America and Europe.
However, having visited these different countries, there is one mode of travel that my husband and I have yet to try. That is none other than going on a cruise. Although, we flew to several Caribbean destinations already, getting on one of those fun and luxurious Caribbean cruises would for sure be a nice change from the usual airport delays and the not so pleasant stuff to deal with at the airports.
My sister and her family are fond of Carnival cruises. In fact, they have been to several destinations through the years and they really love the accommodation and ultimate fun on these cruises. I must admit that my husband is a little bit leery aboard a cruise ship, but like my sister have been telling him, he is going to have a lot of fun and enjoy the luxurious accommodation and the fun activities that only cruising brings.
For our first cruise, it would be great to sail on the Carnival Miracle for an 8 day Eastern Caribbean cruise straight from New York and to sail through Grand Turk, Half Moon Cay and Nassau, Bahamas. We haven’t been to Grand Turk, in Turks and Caicos, and being that it’s the first port of call, it’s going to be exciting. But nothing can beat the anticipation of being on a cruise ship, at the Carnival Miracle’s 11 story Metropolis atrium featuring a ruby red glass ceiling. Just thinking of the many big miracles that await us once on board keeps my travel planning mode on the fast lane.
