I’ve been meaning to bake this cake for a while and I finally got the chance to make it last Friday. I got the recipe from Kraft Foods, but instead of using a boxed Angel Food Cake, I baked one from scratch. Apart from that, I did not use Cool Whip as the recipe indicated. I went ahead and whipped up a mixture of heavy cream and confectioners sugar. I simply added crushed pineapple and vanilla pudding and pie filling into the heavy cream. The verdict? It’s very light and delicious!
It’s Friday today, and I haven’t decided what cake to bake. My pantry is loaded with baking ingredients, so I’m ready anytime. Whatever strikes my fancy later, then that will be the cake for the weekend.
I know, I know. At the rate I’m going, I really need to start working off all the extra weight using the elliptical at the gym. I can’t help it. I love to bake my cake and eat it too. I never thought I would really love baking so much. Baking may not love me that much because I can’t seem to decorate my cakes decently, but I’m trying to learn. I hope one day, I can finally show off a beautiful cake; one that is yummy at the same time.
