A dental appointment is always a dreadful one, at least for me. In fact, if you ask me, it actually ranks second on my list of those dreadful doctor’s visits. My annual appointment to the gynecologist is on the top of the list, that I can’t help but imagine myself rushing to the nearest exit sign in the facility while waiting to get called.
Truth be told, my recent visit to my dentist wasn’t exactly a regular hygiene appointment, therefore, it was another dreadful visit. As I have written in my previous post, my wisdom tooth was screaming for attention. After the dental hygienist was done, my dentist had to examine the problematic tooth. As soon as I heard the alien dental terminology/procedure that he was about to do, I swear I sat frozen on the dental chair while my eyes started to scour for one of the nearest exit signs. It’s just one of those moments when the brave, big girl in me is put to the test. Before I knew it I had to close my eyes while he started to apply that local anesthesia. No, the wisdom tooth was not extracted, instead, he had to trim the extra flap of gum that seem to have partially covered the top of the wisdom tooth.
For now, I’m spared of extraction. But I was given the word that should a case like this happens again, I will really have to have this one wisdom tooth taken out. Yes, only one wisdom tooth sprouted on the bottom but I have both on top.
What are other instances when I am prompted to look for EXIT SIGNS? There are tons! In this lifetime, we are exposed to the harsh realities of living and dealing with the intricacies of life. The good thing is that we should be able to see the signs and be able to identify every twists and turns that signal us that it’s finally the time to exit.

Oh dear, that dreadful?? Probably have the wisdom tooth operated out would cure your problem??

yes, indeed! I would surely go for extraction if this same thing happens again. thanks!
Mabuti naman at hindi binunot. Nung bata ako yung dentista na pinupuntahan namin bunot agad ang ginagawa pag may masakit na ipin.
My mother’s day went well. The father and daughter got me some new clothes instead of the usual jewelry.
Have a great week!

yes, but I have to be very careful with what I eat. I got the infection from eating popcorn, which is entirely a different post in itself.
@ Martin
hehehe.
Oh dear! I hate going to the gyno as much as you do. Not too bad with dentists. General health practitioners are the worst for me. i avoid to go at all costs

I’m with you about the dentist visits. I am thankful they are there for us but I do not like the thought of having to go unless it’s only for a cleaning. I glad your problem was taken care of w/o extraction.

I surmised, I must not be the only one that feels the same way towards doctor’s visits.
@ Eddie Garcia
oh yes, it was such a relief sans that dreadful extraction.
