Jollibee In New York: A Pinoy Addiction!

It’s been a little more than a month since Jollibee’s debut here in New York, and I wonder if the long lines have subsided. For those of you who would want to know the specific location of Jollibee, here’s the address: 62-29 Roosevelt Ave., nr. 62nd St. in Woodside, Queens. Oh, and if you’re new here on my site, you may be wondering who and what is Jollibee. Just follow this link, to find out.

Anyway, we have been intending to head out to Queens just to have a “taste of  home,” for me, and for my husband to get re-acquainted with his favorite Jollibee Palabok.   It will be quite a drive, with traffic and all,  but I wouldn’t mind taking the trek. I just hope that the day we’re going, we won’t have to go through the line. Parking is also another consideration, because if my memory serves me right, it’s not that easy to find parking in that area (other than street parking), and I’m not quite sure if there is a nearby municipal pay parking. There is the number 7 train, but that will entail two trains for us and approximately two hours on the train each way. That makes taking the MTA not an option.  Just hoping here that when we finally go, it will be perfect timing.

New York Times columnist, Matt Gross has written about Jollibee and aptly titled his article: ‘Jollibee brings a Filipino Addiction to Queens.’ Here’s the link to the article for your reading pleasure.
