The deep freeze just won’t leave us New Yorkers. But even with the recent snowstorm, and our icy surroundings as a result of the storm, it is a relief to think of the nicer weather ahead of us in a few weeks, hopefully. And with the spring weather rolling in, I can’t help but think about packing up our suitcases and get going, and head to Missouri for the National Sporting Event. The travel junkie in me is starting to kick in just by browsing at the awesome special offers at the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing as well as the equally enticing treats they have waiting for their guests at Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. With their proximity to the major attractions there is no way, anyone would consider a different place for their hotel accommodation. It’s got to be one of the two.
Have you been to Missouri? I haven’t! And as I have written here in the past, I would really love to explore what Branson has to offer. Known for its museums and attractions such as the wide array of shows, unending choices of outdoor fun and sports and my prime reason why I want to visit a place: shopping. And this Spring, sports enthusiast like my husband will surely enjoy the NAIA Division II Men’s Basketball Tournament, an exhilarating 32-team, single-elimination tournament featuring the champions of the Division II conferences and regional tournaments as well as the Walmart FLW Bass Tournament. If we ever get there this Spring, I can just imagine spending a day of shopping, whether at the outlet stores or at the historic downtown and the waterfront at Branson Landing. Another day would be great for the excitement waiting at their theme parks. And of course, not to forget a night of live entertainment as well as a day on Lake Taneycomo.
A week in Branson is definitely not enough. The place has something to offer for everyone. And you know what? I haven’t even mentioned the food!!! How could I have forgotten that knowing I have a “foodie” husband. The wide array of restaurants in Branson makes it all the more for us, the wise next choice of destination. Now, I am hoping that this snow storm is the last for this season, for a worry- free travel. The prospect of having to go through airport delays due to inclement weather is no fun.
