Is Baking Getting In The Way?

I have been very good with my indoor walking regimen (the Leslie Sansone 2 mile walk) for the past couple of months, but I have been inactive since I caught that pesky cold and fever right before Valentine’s Day. With my baking in progress, I have to make sure I have to go back to my so called fitness regimen, otherwise, looking for the best weight loss pills to try will be my only recourse left if I let my weight go out of control.

For the past two weeks, I have baked three cakes. Yes, three, although I have shared with you only two so far. Wait till you see the third, I’m sure you will be laughing out loud. I will have to post the picture some other time.

So where does losing weight fit in with my baking? Frankly, I don’t know. Reality is, when I bake an 8 inch cake, that is understandable to be consumed over the weekend. Does that mean we ate 100% of the cakes I have baked so far? Honestly, with our appetite for sweets, we can and we’re used to consuming the whole cake. But ever since I started baking, I have been asking my husband to drop off a decent portion of the cake to my in-laws. They are not far from where we live, that’s why. But the third cake I made? That we ate it all, as it was only meant for our own consumption. I guess, you are now curious more than ever to see what kind of cake was that. Stay tuned!
