It was not exactly the kind of day that I envisioned my day would have been today. It’s the second day of the new year, and just like many of us, I have vowed to end my “love affair” with our bed until noon time everyday. I went to sleep at a decent time last night hoping this will enable me to get up in the morning. When I woke up today, it was already afternoon. You see, I just love to sleep.
With four loads of laundry, two banks to go to and a lot of other tasks that I set out to do, I knew this was simply impossible with just a few hours left in the day. Some tasks had to be put aside.
I did my laundry, postponed my bank run for tomorrow and I did my normal chores around the house. While writing this post, the nice scent emitted by the banana bread I’m baking is making me hungry. Yes, I planned to bake banana bread today and I did not want to postpone it.
One task that has to be put aside too was my plan to resume paper scrapping. There are a lot of photos from vacations we’ve taken over the years that are waiting to be organized. I’m going as far back as 2006 until our last vacation last October (Italy). And although, we have 2 coffee table books of the photos from our renewal of wedding vows celebration in 2005, I have about 2,500 of photos that I have ordered and printed that have been waiting for me since August of 2005. To date, I only have 10 scrapped layout/pages. Paper scrapping is a priority, because I want everything in order before we take another vacation again. Apart from scrapping, I am going to make sure, I set aside time for reading. There are books waiting for me. And last but definitely not the least of my priority, do my indoor walking exercise.
It will be nice to be able to do a little of the above that I enumerated each day. Today, I started at the wrong foot, but I will keep trying.

I should probably start scrapping myself. I need to find a hobby…something I can do away from the computer….
Enjoy the rest your weekend Tuks…

I can so relate to waking up late, despite going to bed early… my husband and I need to emerge from bed around 7, not 10, although it’s an improvement from noon like we were doing before! Sometimes going to bed early isn’t the answer. I think we just need to have strict achievables for the morning, which forces us out of bed no matter what. Dunno if that will work for you?
cheers,

@ lynne
the problem with me is I tend to retire to bed really late. but even in the past, whenever I hit the sack at a reasonable time I still wound up waking up very late. must be the weather here or just because I’m not under time pressure to wake up.
