I’ve been preoccupied the past few days hence, the lack of updates. Monday had me tinkering around the kitchen and experimenting on different recipes. It was a tiring adventure but I was satisfied that I found out, that indeed I can make several dishes myself. Earlier that day, I also went to the supermarket to do my weekly food shopping.
I finally made it to my OB on Tuesday, with my appointment originally scheduled for 1:00 p.m. but because I woke up really early that day (there was a scheduled water outage all day in our area for repair works), I called the doctor’s office if it was possible to walk in earlier. I got the go, so off I went at 11:00 a.m. I was done by 12:30 and on my way home that was when the flakes started to fall. Yes, we had our first real snowfall last Tuesday. Another round of snow storm is predicted to hit our area on Friday, and another one on Sunday. I guess, we are due to have a real bad winter season this year.
When I got home, I wanted to continue wrapping gifts but the allure of the love seat was more inviting. I found myself pouring into my back issues of magazines and a book until I drifted. As soon as I was up, I made sure to wrap the last few presents waiting to be “dressed up.” If I only wanted to wait when I went shopping for the gifts to be wrapped by the store personnel, it would have been better. It’s good they gave me the wrapping paper, boxes, cards and ribbon. It was time consuming but sort of therapeutic.
I’m finally done with the presents, now, I can’t wait to get them out of the house. As you very well know, this is my 8th Christmas without a tree, and I don’t mind. The presents are all in the closet waiting for the perfect time to be sent out and or handed personally. Just a few days to go, and I’m glad we’re now set.
