Altered Schedule
I did the laundry today, something that I don’t normally do on Wednesdays, but because of scheduled renovation at the laundry room which is commencing tomorrow, I had to switch. Now, I feel like it’s almost the end of the work week simply because I’m used to doing my laundry on Thursdays. The harder chore, which is cleaning the whole house has been relegated for tomorrow.
Sometimes I wish that there’s a machine that can really clean the house from top to bottom. Because of my cleaning obsession, it takes me many hours to finish the whole chore, as I am not one to do it on a piece meal basis (i.e. vacumm today, dusting tomorrow). I miss those few weeks of having a housekeeper here. In an effort to get the weight off me after my Dad passed away, my husband hired one which we had till the day we left for ourВ Italian get-away. When we came back three weeks after, I was back to doing everything.
I have to say, that was really great, and I enjoyed my hiatus from doing household chores. If only it does not cost an arm and a leg to have one permanently, I think I won’t be ashamed to ask for it. But, it will be a big time “shame on me” moment because I’m a stay at home wife. What is expected of me to do? Surf the net? Oh well, it’s good I got reminded to do that, as I need to take a peek at the promotional pens they are offering at US Imprints. It’s a task that I need to do, as requested by my sister. She’s one busy working mom, that’s why.
