As planned, we spent Thanksgiving at home and we just dined out for our Thanksgiving dinner. We originally wanted to go to Siam, a Thai restaurant by the Bay but sad to say the place was closed. Since we were already in the area, the options left for us to take was only two: a Turkish and a Japanese restaurant. The bay front is loaded with restaurants but because of the holiday, a lot of them were closed. We wound up dining at Chikurin. As the name implies, it’s a Japanese resto.
This was not our first Thanksgiving dinner devoid of the traditional turkety roast. We enjoyed the foods and although we have our favorite Japanese resto nearby, driving back was not an option. The service was excellent and the foods were equally delicious. We still prefer Hana, but this place is definitely another winner.
Here’s what we had:
We skipped dessert because we have two pies at home waiting to be devoured.
