I have been very good so far when it comes to shopping. As promised, I have kept to my words. Yes, I pledged to my husband even before we left New York that I will be highly disciplined when it comes to shopping. This trip is a part of my birthday present this year, (this is number two of three). The third is not a trip (just for the record). I am trying so hard to resist temptations, because the trip in itself already costs us an arm and a leg.
If you see stores like the pics below, it is very hard to close one’s eyes. In fact, I have seen the Gucci flagship store in Florence, where everything Gucci began, the first store that the sadle maker Guccio Gucci first put up.
Oh, and if in case you want to know, Benetton is in every corner here in Florence. They are big here in Italy but sad to say, Benetton is no longer like the old days, when all of the merchandise were made in Italy. Just like the Benetton store on 5th Avenue in New York, here in Italy they also carry merchandise assembled in China and other countries.
