Prior to settling here in New York, it was for a lot of years that I was coming here as a tourist. I made New York my playground because of the allure of shopping and the beat of the city. I would visit other states every time, but New York was always part of the itinerary. At the end of the day, I finally realized I was not going anywhere near the museum. I took the C train back to Penn Station to take the Long Island railroad to go home. My legs were soar for the next three days, and I was the laughing stock in the household for the rest of the night.
