Very sorry to hear about your loss!
If you ever want someone additional to email, I recently lost my mother and can understand losing a parent. As a bonus perk I have quite a bit of training in counseling (although do not work as a professional counselor atm).

Things will get better. They will never be the same, but many of the sharpest feelings will pass.

I tried to leave this post at the other site but had trouble. So I leave my heart felt message here.

My prayers are with you in this time of grieving. It will get better but I do not think the pain will ever go away. I lost my mom 10 years ago in Nov. She was 49 years young. I miss her every day. I have learned to treasure the memories we shared and or talked about. I even started a journal as each memory was felt in my heart. Many blessings.
