Thunder And Lightning

We had sporadic thunderstorms all day today. It was anticipated by the way, because the weather forecast was right for once. It started out as cloudy with the sun peeking once in a while. Then the heavy downpour and thunderstorms ensued. My okra plants got toppled because of the strong winds. It’s good they rested on the eggplant in an angle so they did not really hit the ground. I was hesitant to go and straighten up the pot because of the lightning strikes. After the storm passed I went to the balcony and fixed up the pot. I’m glad there’s no sign of damage. It’s already bearing okra and it would have been bad if they got uprooted. Thankfully they’re intact.

The husband is still in the gym. I wonder what time will he come up, as it’s almost dinner time. Sometimes I wish we have a complete home gym equipment so that he won’t have to go down to the gym anymore. The only problem is, we may not be able to accommodate all the pieces of equipments here in our place. Not that the space is tight, but knowing how he uses a lot of different equipments he would for sure want to have every single unit that he’s accustomed to using. Being a fitness buff,  even when we go away on vacation, our choice of hotel is dictated by the availability of a well equipped gym. I should be glad he loves to workout, but to tell you the truth sometimes he spends more time in the gym than with me when he’s home. Now, can you blame why I want to have a home gym equipment?
